Officers of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan have found extremist materials during a search in 20 houses of Chui region. Press service of the ministry reported.
According to it, sanctioned searches to reveal, cease and prevent manifestations of extremism have been conducted on the territory of Issyk-Ata and Alamudun districts. There have been found and confiscated 2,500 books, 600 brochures, 5,300 discs, 4 laptops, 7 flash cards and a cold arm. Theological examination has been carried out on 44 seized books.
According to its results, the materials contain extremist ideas. A criminal case under Article 299 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (incitement of national, racial, religious or interregional hatred) has been opened. The rest of the seized materials will be also estimated by the experts.
