The Government of Uzbekistan has reported a sharp deterioration in health of Islam Karimov. This is stated in an official statement published today on the portal of the Cabinet of Uzbekistan.
It is noted that "in the last day, the state of our President has sharply deterioration and, according to doctors, it is estimated as critical." Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev went to Samarkand yesterday. According to Fergana agency, the funeral of the permanent leader of the country will take place there tomorrow.
The first reports of stroke of the head of Uzbekistan appeared on August 28. The next day, Fergana reported that Islam Karimov had died of a brain hemorrhage at 3.35 p.m. local time.
