The plenary sessions of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan will be broadcasted live on one of TV channels. Parliament Speaker Asylbek Zheenbekov announced today at a meeting of the Parliament.
He told that Piramida Television and Radio Company will begin live coverage not only from the Parliament but also from other government agencies and the judiciary in February. "In addition to the meetings, there will be broadcasted the work of the parliamentary factions and committees. So, dear deputies, be ready!" Asylbek Zheenbekov urged the colleagues.
The Speaker noted that live broadcasting "will give an impetus for improvement of the efficiency of the Parliament." "It will be difficult for all of us at first, but we will start being particular in our speech, behavior. So remember: if someone from the deputies does not come, it will be also shown on TV," Asylbek Zheenbekov said.
According to the Speaker, at first, broadcasting will be carried out only in Bishkek and Chui region, then in Osh and Osh region, and by the end of the year broadcasting will be carried out throughout the country.
