Deputies are again dissatisfied that the media publish information about their income, Azamat Arapbaev said today at the meeting of parliamentary Committee on Economy and Fiscal Policy.
According to him, Article 35 of the law on civil service states that the information on the income of civil servants is confidential. However, data on the deputies' income is annually published in the media. Deputy believes it is illegal.
"Now state officials, who take political posts, submit the income declaration till March. Then again, it all becomes public. I have nothing to hide. But do organized criminal groups win in our country? It shouldn't be so," the deputy said.
However, the deputy head of the State Personnel Service Oleg Tarbinsky noted that the law on civil service doesn't touch the deputies. But they are subject to the laws on the deputies of the Parliament and on the declaration. There clearly stated that only personal data can't become the public domain. Therefore, the publication of consolidated income data of persons, holding political posts, doesn't violate the law.
