"I would be very glad if sanctions against Russia were canceled," head of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamácek said to journalists.
The official visit of the parliamentary delegation of the Czech Republic, as the Speaker of the Parliament Asylbek Jeenbekov noted, is historical, it is the first visit since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Czech Republic.
"As far as I know, the sanctions imposed on Russia, not related to the events in Syria, and were used for the first time as a result of the events in Crimea and Ukraine," the Czech Speaker reminded to journalists.
"I personally would be very glad if sanctions were lifted, but this can happen only if certain obligations that arise from the Minsk agreements are fulfilled. Unfortunately, this agreement is not fulfilled, and the situation in Ukraine doesn't calm down, so I don't see the real possibility of lifting the sanctions," Jan Hamácek concluded.
