President Bakiev has appointed the three vice prime ministers of the new government.

Akylbek Japarov, ex-head of the abolished Economic Development and Trade Ministry, took up the post of the first Vice Prime Minister and Kyrgyzstan’s Special Representative for the Eurasian Economic Community.

Aaly Karashev, ex-governor of Osh region, was appointed the Vice Prime Minister - Chief of the government’s apparatus, while Tajikan Kalimbetova, former chairwoman of the Social Fund, became the third Vice Prime Minister of the government.
