Kyrgyz President to pay official visit to China and Iran. The head of foreign policy department of the presidential administration Sapar Isakov announced today at a press conference.
According to him, on September 1-3, Almazbek Atambayev will visit China, where he will take part in commemorative events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. "More than 30 heads of states will attend the event. A squad of the National Guard of the KR is participating in the solemn event," Sapar Isakov says.
He said that during his visit to China it is expected to sign a number of agreements. In particular, the cooperation program, designed for 10 years. "We will sign a document on allocation of 350 million yuan by Chine for promotion of major projects in Kyrgyzstan. The draft agreement on cross-border cooperation is under negotiation. By agreement of the leaders of the two countries, China allocates to Kyrgyzstan one billion yuan for three years, the first tranche of 350 million will be sent at the request of Almazbek Atambayev for rehabilitation of roads in Bishkek. With its help 45 streets will be reconstructed," Sapar Isakov concluded.
He added that Almazbek Atambayev will meet with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. "There are political, economic and humanitarian issues. Against the background of accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the EEU there is an opportunity to invest in the economy of our country. We have great opportunities, a market of 170 million people," Sapar Isakov notes.
According to him, on September 4-6 the head of the state will visit Iran. "This is a planned activity, and its essence - continuation of economic and political contacts. There have good prospects for investing in the Kyrgyz Republic by Iran against the background of participation of our country in the EEU. The President will hold meetings in narrow and expanded format with the head of Iran, its parliament speaker and spiritual leader," Sapar Isakov explains
