Kyrgyz President receives letter from Barack Obama

Kurmanbek Bakiev received the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kadyrbek Sarbaev on Thursday, June 11.  The minister informed the head of the country about content of the message, came through diplomatic channels.

“President charged the Foreign Ministry and other interested ministries and departments with suggestions on content of response letter,” the press service pointed.

As to Kadyrbek Sarbaev, “Barack Obama expressed his gratitude to people and leadership of Kyrgyzstan for efforts on stabilization of situation in Afghanistan, international terrorism and drugs trafficking control.”

“The leader of the U.S. highly appreciated positive development of Kyrgyz-American relations. Besides, Barack Obama expressed hope for further strengthening of different forms of the U.S.-Kyrgyzstan cooperation. In particular, in sphere of investments, exchange programs, social and economic projects,” presidential press service quoted as the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan said.

As to the press service, Barack Obama plans to send delegation of high-ranking officials to Kyrgyzstan for negotiations in the nearest future.
