Beknazarov: Reforms are just strengthening of president’s authority

All the reforms, voiced by the president of Kyrgyzstan today deal only with strengthening of his authority, Azimbek Beknazarov, one of the leaders of the oppositional Joint People’s Movement, ex-member of the parliament said in comment to the today’s speech of Kurmanbek Bakiev.

“Nothing will change with renaming the state structures. I have not heard what I and many of our associates wanted to hear,” the oppositionist said.

“Kurmanbek Bakiev simply deprived the government of some authorities and assigned it to himself,” Beknazarov said.
