Kyrgyz parliament ratifies agreement on development of CIS trans-border corridors

The committee of the Kyrgyz parliament has approved an agreement on coordinated development of CIS trans-border transport corridors. The decision was made at the session of the parliament committee on international affairs and inter-parliamentary cooperation Tuesday.

As to Kubanychbek Mamaev, state secretary of the Transport and Communications Ministry, the agreement will allow working out single approach to estimation of transport corridors’ state and their compliance with international standards, extending trade relations, defining priorities which play an important role for two and more countries. International transport committee will be established specially for solution of the problems,” Mamaev said.

The high-priority transport corridors for the republic are Bishkek-Osh, Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart, Osh-Batken-Isfana, Bishkek-Chaldovar, Bishkek-Georgievka roads.

The members of the committee have passed the agreement.
