Reconstruction of the 539 kilometers of the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart road will take five years, Nurlan Sulaimanov, the Transport and Communications Minister of Kyrgyzstan said Thursday at a parliament session.

“It is the first time when Kyrgyzstan reconstructs a road for such a short period of time. Besides, we will organize a four-lane traffic that will reduce accidents at this part of the road,” Sulaimanov said.

Parliament deputies discuss ratification of preferential credit agreement on rehabilitation of Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart road signed between the Kyrgyz government and the Export-Import Bank of China on October 15, 2009.
