Average pension to hit 2,621 soms from March 1, 2010 in Kyrgyzstan

An average pension will make up 2,621 soms from March 1, 2010 in Kyrgyzstan, Taalai Tatkulov, Chairman of the Kyrgyz Social Fund said Wednesday at a session of Ak Zhol parliament group.

As to the official, insurance component of retirement payment will raise by 27 percent from March 1. “An average increase will come to 309 soms. Besides, we will apply 1.4 adjustment index for those who went into retirement after July 1, 2009, as those citizens, who retired before July 1, 2009 have 50 percent premium,” Tatkulov said.

At least 512, 000 Kyrgyzstanis will reportedly get compensations due to energy and heating tariffs increase from January 1, 2010. “Retirees will get not only scaled compensations but 200 soms payments,” he added.

As of January 1, 2010 average pension makes up 2,120 soms in the republic.
