Zhoomart Otorbaev: The World Bank deprecates creation of state mortgage company in Kyrgyzstan

23/04-2012 09:29, Bishkek – 24.kg news agency , by Aizada KUTUEVA

“The World Bank deprecates idea of Kyrgyz authorities to create a state mortgage company,” the vice Prime Minister Zhoomart Otorbaev stated at the session of the parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs.

According him, WB believes that “we will create too big company with which other companies will fail to compete”. “But this issue is negotiated and we hope to reach consensus. The Government intends to create a state mortgage company in which it is needed to attract money from Centerra Gold. This money can be spent on construction of mortgage housing,” said the official.
