“The Kyrgyz Government conducts unprofessional policy in the field of securities,” Akhmatbek Keldibekov, head of the parliamentary Committee on Budget and Finances, stated at today’s session.
According to him, in 2011 the state issued securities to 8 billion soms. “They were issued to commercial banks by 21 percent per annum. As a result, the banking sector made a profit of 800 million soms. 2 billion are still in the banks. The state lost a considerable amount of money due to a bad policy. It would be better to give them to ordinary citizens, who are hiding money under a blanket. It is better common people than the commercial banks derive benefit,” Akhmatbek Keldibekov says.
As the Committee’s head noted, now it turns out that the Commercial Bank Kyrgyzstan has no assets. “All of them are re-registered to other to pay less tax. If tomorrow, the bank collapses, who will assume its obligations?” Akhmatbek Keldibekov asked.
