Central Elections Commission influenced on elections to Osh City Hall – Erik Iriskulbekov

“Central Elections Commission (CEC) influenced on elections to Osh City Hall,” announced Erik Iriskulbekov, a lawyer of Coalition for Democracy and Civic Society civic organization on today’s press conference.

According him, CEC calculated and made all conclusions independently, though it is the Local Elections Commission (LEC) prerogative. “CEC cancelled the voting results on 3 voting stations and made the decision. So, CEC acted out of its authority,” he explained.

He noted that CEC should arrange other elections in Osh city because the results cancellation on the voting stations influenced on the elections’ results. “According Osh city LEC some parties didn’t receive necessary mandates, but in accordance with CEC results they managed to enter the City Hall. Besides voters’ rights were violated,” said the lawyer.
