Only 4 per cent of schools are connected to internet in Kyrgyzstan – Kanat Sadykov

“Only 4 per cent of schools are connected to internet in Kyrgyzstan,” said Education and Science Minister Kanat Sadykov on today’s meeting of Science Culture and Sport Parliamentary Committee.

According him, there is internet connection of regions of Kyrgyzstan but state budget can’t pay internet-providers. “We must connect at least 25 per cent of Kyrgyz schools in the short run,” he said.

Audit Chamber accountant Uktomkhan Abdullaeva noted that 90 per cent of schools have computer classes but ratio “pupil-computer” is 59 to 1 respectively.
