Omurbek Tekebayev: Kyrgyzstan President doesn’t have right to declare a referendum

Kyrgyzstan President doesn’t have right to declare a referendum, the leader of Ata Meken faction Omurbek Tekebayev stated today at the parliamentary hearings.

According him, only a group of citizens not less than 10 thousand in number may put forward with such initiative.

Meanwhile participants of parliamentary hearings demand to lengthen a list of issues proposed for national voting, in particular, to allow people answering question about early termination of the powers of the President or the Parliament.
