Whom you unburden your heart to and do you turn to God in hard moments?
11/03-2009 11:29, Bishkek – News Agency “24.kg”, By Aizada KUTUEVA
Every person even the strongest has such moments when he/she needs to unbosom himself, have support and hear advice. Everybody finds his own way out of such situations: somebody goes into his shell and somebody unburdens his heart to a close person. The news agency “24.kg” decided to find out how our respondents solve their problems.
Alisher Mamasaliev, member of the Kyrgyz parliament:
I have such a person. He is not a friend as he is much older than I am but with him I can discus all the urgent issues and unbosom myself to him. I often rely on his experience gathered at the higher posts under the Soviet Union. He lives out of the city. Once a month we talk heart-to-heart over a glass of cognac and I feel better.
I have never turned to believers for help. Probably, I am not at that age yet. Though I trust such people and think that they have definite principles and can be believed in.
Meerim Akmatkulova, art-manager of Galery M:
I always advise with my friends at hard moments. It surely does not mean that I do not trust my husband. Women have the same nature, they understand each other better.
As to prayers for God, it is the first that occurs to me when somebody is ill or there is a difficult life situation. I have turned to God and, you know, it helped.
Gulnara Derbisheva, member of the Kyrgyz parliament:
I share all my difficulties and feelings with my husband. He is my support, strong back and my closest person. Meanwhile, I am dedicated believer. I always ask God to save Kyrgyz people and protect them from misfortune.
Azamat Kalman, leader of journalists’ union:
All my troubles and feelings I keep to myself. Sure, I have close people with whom I can talk heart-to-heart. But I prefer to comprehend the current situation by myself. I know that it is harmful to keep all the feelings inside but it is my character.
I believe in God but do not turn to believers with my problems.
Orzubek Nazarov, member of the parliament:
I unbosom myself to my spouse. She is my comrade-in–arms and a right-hand person. I am fully sure that if I come to her with any problem, she will listen to me and give a valuable advice.
I am a believer so I can turn to God in hard times.
Cholpon Abdullaeva, member of the Kyrgyz parliament:
All my feelings I usually keep to myself. Rarely I can hide under the cover and cry. In the whole, when I am in low spirits or something goes wrong, I just read books and feel myself somehow better at once.
Gulnara Degenbaeva, director of the orphanage Meerim Bulagy:
In hard times I share my feelings with my relatives and close ones-husband, children and mother-in-law. But the most secret thoughts or feelings I keep to myself as I have not yet met a person whom I can fully trust.
I believe in God and with awe and respect treat representatives of all confessions.
Kadyr Malikov, religion expert, lecturer:
At hard moments I, of course, pray to God. In general I try to keep all my problems to myself not to make my mother and wife anxious.
Alexander Voinov, chief of the State Agency on Physical Culture, Sport, Youth Affairs and Children Security:
Unbosoming to somebody is not me. I am such person that sometimes I am afraid of myself. All my problems I keep and solve by myself. Though, I think when other people have problems or difficulties it is necessary to help them.
I believe in God but do not seek support from believers.
