Kyrgyz citizens have won 17 medals at Muay Thai World Championship. The President of Muay Thai Federation of Kyrgyzstan (WMF version) Syrgak Aytaliev told today at a press conference.
According to him, the competition took place yesterday in Bangkok city (Thailand). About 500 wrestlers from 60 countries have participated in it. The fights were held in different weight and age categories, among amateurs, semi-professionals and professionals. Our country was represented by 14 athletes. They won four gold, six silver and seven bronze medals. Shakhriza Khalilova won two gold medals, Alexander Vavilov and Nikita Tsoy - one gold medal each.
Daniyar Kashkaraev, Timur Mamatisakov, Albert Sovetov, Kuban Zhanarbek uulu, Ulan Sabirov and Nikita Tsoy won silver medals. Alexander Vavilov, Begaim Kakchekeeva, Aybike Isayeva, Akylbek Duishenkulov, Ulanbek Zhaabay uulu, Janybek Beyshebek uulu and Eldiyar Moldobekov won bronze medals.
