The official website of the Olympic Games 2016, which continue in the city of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), has not yet excluded the weightlifter Izzat Artykov from the list of medalists.
Note, front page of the resource has a link to the medal standings of the Games. At present, 81 states out of 206 have won at least one medal. The list is headed by the U.S. (35 gold, 33 silver, 32 bronze medals). The top three leaders are also United Kingdom (22, 21, 13) and China (20, 16, 22).
Reportedly, Kyrgyzstan shares the 71st place with 11 countries, which have won a bronze medal. The third place of Izzat Artykov, which he took at the competition on August 10, according to the website, is sill in force.
Recall, on August 18 the Court of Arbitration for Sport stripped Artykov of the medal and accused him of doping. The Weightlifting Federation of Kyrgyzstan was surprised with the verdict and promised to sort it out. Artikov himself, according to his sister, is going to retake the test. The State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic still does not give an official comment.
