Countries of the Eurasian Economic Union will issue electronic passports of transport corridors. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) informed.
According to it, the day before there was held a meeting of EEC sub-committees on infrastructure, logistics and railway transport. They discussed development of the transit potential of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). It was decided to start the electronic passportization of the EEU transport corridors.
"The introduction of electronic passports of transport corridors will help to more accurately and effectively make decisions and plan the development of transport and logistics infrastructure. This can be achieved by optimizing the recording, analysis and evaluation of the level of development and operation of infrastructure, volume of traffic and transport operation," EEC says.
