More than half of publications in the media of Kyrgyzstan on Eurasian integration are positive. These data are represented in the report on the results of monitoring of publications in the leading media outlets of the Customs Union, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.
The study was conducted from December 2013 till April 2014. General results of the monitoring indicate that there are more positive and neutral materials, than negative ones. Negative materials are, mostly, not supported by facts and analysis, statements and estimations are declarative. Positive articles contain analysis and statements by officials.
"In Kyrgyzstan experts conducted an analysis on the basis of four news agencies, including 24.kg news agency. The analysis showed that 51 percent of publications are positive, 30 percent - neutral and 19 percent - negative. The positive material estimate the development of the Kyrgyz- Russian relations as an important achievement. Negative statements appear in the background of discussions of internal problems of the country," the "Russia Today" country and integration processes department director Ella Taranova noted.
