Ministry of Emergency Situations has announced preliminary amount of the damage caused by the collapse of the Turkish cargo aircraft Boeing 747 near Manas airport.
According to the head of department Kubatbek Boronov, it comprises 186 million soms. "This amount includes the cost of the destroyed homes and the costs of the liquidation of the consequences. 19 houses have been completely destroyed, 7 partly, 12 household buildings have suffered," Kubatbek Boronov said.
The minister explained that the figure is not final. Clean-up of debris and neutralization of jet fuel smell continues.
The plane crashed in Kyrgyzstan on January 16. Aircraft Boeing-747-400F of ACT Airlines (MyCargo), chartered by Turkish Airlines, made the flight from Hong Kong to Istanbul. The aircraft was supposed to land at the airport in Bishkek at 7.20 a.m., but crashed during landing.
