Kyrgyz Beshkempir movie is among the 100 best films of Asia, a film critic Gulbara Tolomushova informed 24.kg news agency.
According to her, the international film festival in Busan (Republic of Korea) has conducted a survey of film critics from different countries timed to its 20th anniversary to determine the best movies in Asia and the best Asian filmmakers. "I was among the respondents and I am very glad that two Kyrgyz directors - Tolomush Okeev and Aktan Arym Kubat - have been included into the list of the hundred best directors of Asia, and the movie by Aktan Arym Kubat Beshkempir took the place in the list of the 100 best films of Asia," said Gulbara Tolomushova. She added that now the director is working on a new film Centaur.
