For two years the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund has financed 582 projects for $ 167.2 million. Its head Kubanychbek Kulmatov announced today at a meeting with journalists.
According to him, the fund was tasked to bring funding to 10 billion soms until the end of the year. However, the plan was exceeded by more than 1 billion soms.
In addition, the interest rate on loans was reduced from 7 to 4 percent. The number of banks- partners of RKDF was increased from 3 to 10. They have more than 300 branches all over the country.
The Development Fund launches also new projects:
- Financing of leasing operations through microfinance institutions;
- Co-financing of projects jointly with commercial banks of Kyrgyzstan;
- Financing of working capital through commercial banks.
Kubanychbek Kulmatov told that the fund was discussing cooperation with the National Energy Holding and distribution companies.
"There is a proposal to install "smart" meters throughout the country. To accomplish it, we propose to produce them in Kyrgyzstan not to depend on foreign suppliers," he said.
