Embassy of China will start issue of visas to carriers of Kyrgyzstan this week. The Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Abdyldaev said today at a government meeting.
The head of the State Customs Service Azamat Sulaymanov told that import volumes through a Torugart checkpoint declined in October- November 2016. The reason is that about 140 carriers can not get a visa to China.
"Visa policy of China affects the situation. We were told that the Embassy recently issued 600 visas to students. But it is unknown when it will start issue of visas to others," Azamat Sulaymanov noted.
However, the Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev assured that the problem with visas for carriers has been solved. First, there will be issued 50 visas. By the end of the year, there will be provided conditions for a normal and regular issuance of visas.
Recall, visa problems arose after the terrorist attack at the Chinese Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
