Gasoline and diesel fuel rise in price in Kyrgyzstan. The Oil Traders Association reported.
Today, AI-80, AI-92 and AI-95 petrol grew by 1 som, while diesel fuel and autogas grew in price by 0.5 soms.
The growth is connected with increase in wholesale prices of petroleum products on the Russian market. Thus, the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel delivered in December, compared to November, increased by an average of 10 percent.
"Unusual for the winter wholesale prices growth on the Russian market of oil products is connected with the desire of its members to accumulate reserves of fuel till the repair at the Moscow refinery, scheduled for January-April 2017," the Association commented.
Rising prices spurred increased demand for Russian fuel in Kazakhstan, where the fuel shortage occurred at the end of November. The suspension of fuel supplies from Bashneft factories to Kazakhstan in connection with the merger of the company with Rosneft also played its role there.
Gradual increase in gasoline prices in the range of 8-10 percent and diesel fuel - by 5- 10 percent is expected in Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
