Arrest of another Hizb ut-Tahrir activist in Bishkek

Police in the Kyrgyzstan capital announced the arrest of one member of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir group for Issyk-Kul region. The activist was identified as a Kyrgyz citizen, the press-service of the State Security Service reported.

The member of the banned group was arrested during the investigative work. The police have withdrawn a data carrier with extremist content. Reportedly, he also resisted the officers.

The arrested man was fleeing from prosecution in Bishkek. He was accused of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir group and incriminated with “Organization, and encroach upon human rights” Article 259 and 299 “Incitement of national, racial and interregional enmity”.
