The deputies of the Parliament recommended spending the fixed assets of Japan grant on equipment of Kyrgyz hospitals. This was stated today at a meeting of the parliamentary Committee on Budget and Finance, where they discussed the ratification of the exchange notes between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Japan about non-project grant aid.
Under the document, Japan is ready to provide Kyrgyzstan with gratis products made by representatives of their small and medium-sized businesses at 100 million yen. The agreement was signed in October 2015 in Bishkek, when the Japanese delegation visited Kyrgyzstan on the eve of the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to the country.
Finance Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev explained that the list of products that will be provided by the Japanese side is to be drawn up by an interdepartmental commission of the Kyrgyz Republic after receiving a response from the ministries and departments. But the main focus, according to the head of the Ministry of Finance, will be placed on the Ministry of Health Care, the Social Development Ministry, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Agriculture.
"But first of all, perhaps, we will pay attention to the Ministry of Health Care, because we receive numerous requests from the deputies," Adylbek Kasymaliev assured.
