Kyrgyzstan has signed an agreement with Kazakhstan on the technical assistance of $100 million, Vice Prime Minister of the KR Oleg Pankratov said today to reporters.
He recalled that when Kyrgyzstan joined the EEU, Russia promised to give us $200 million for the reconstruction of checkpoints and laboratories.
" We quickly signed the document with the Russians. It is already being implemented, the money comes in tranches," Oleg Pankratov said.
"Kazakhstan has promised to give us $100 million, but the coordination took a lot of time, and yesterday we signed the document. We expect that the first tranche after the treaty's entry into force will be directed to veterinary safety issues," Vice Prime Minister said.
He added that another document was signed with the Kazakh counterparts - on the transfer to a unified tariff for rail transport.
"It will come into force 15 days after its signing. We hope that our entrepreneurs, who carry goods in Kyrgyzstan by rail from Russia through Kazakhstan, will pay less. This will lead to cheapening of strategic goods for us - lubricants, metal and wood," Oleg Pankratov summed up.
