The deputies of the Parliament asked the head of the Social Fund, why some pensioners receive 75-100,000 soms. The question was raised at the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Budget and Finance.
According to the chairman of the Social Fund Tenizbek Abzhaparov, the average pension in the country is 5,151 soms. He couldn't voice the minimum pension, saying that it is unknown. However, he said that some pensioners receive 75-100,000 soms.
"Those who receive 100,000 soms pensions, earned a lot. Their salaries were high, and they deducted to the Social Fund more," he said.
Deputies noted that the cost of living in Kyrgyzstan is 4,600 soms, but there are pensions twice less - 2,300 soms. In this regard, they asked to rise the pensions of teachers and doctors to the subsistence level.
Tenizbek Abzhaparov noted that the indexation of pensions and its increase is being held annually. The budget of the Social Fund for 2017 has 633, 96.2 million soms for the purpose. It is planned to implement the increase in the basic and insurance parts of pension from October 1.
